Brazil ±800kV Converter Station - Quadruped Robot

This project is a key project under the national Belt and Road Initiative, focusing on ±800kV HVDC converter station outdoor equipment. It mainly involves the appearance inspection, meter testing, infrared temperature measurement, and partial discharge detection of outdoor AC equipment, converter transformer areas, and outdoor DC equipment.

Brazil ±800kV Converter Station - Quadruped Robot

This project is a key component of China-Brazil green energy cooperation. It is the first in South America to introduce a quadrupedal intelligent inspection robot, applied to the intelligent inspection service of the State Grid Brazil Control Brazil Converter Station. This project initiates in-depth cooperation with State Grid Brazil Control and the Brazilian National Power Company, aligning with the intelligent upgrading strategy of the power industry. It has significant economic benefits and sustainable development potential, effectively improving the efficiency and safety of Brazil's power facilities maintenance, and promoting advanced exchanges and cooperation in power technology between the two countries. The project follows the trend of Brazil's low-carbon energy transition, using intelligent inspection to enhance power grid operation efficiency, ensuring stable and safe energy supply, and aligning with Brazil's strategy for clean and efficient energy development. It provides technological support for the two countries to jointly drive energy transformation, creating a win-win model for economic and environmental benefits, and is incorporated into the existing bilateral cooperation mechanism to promote the continuous expansion of the depth and breadth of China-Brazil cooperation in the energy field.

Based on project requirements and the actual situation of on-site surveys, we have selected and equipped the quadrupedal robot with a 3D laser radar, an infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light three-in-one gimbal camera, a charging room, and a wireless module, enabling the robot to autonomously charge in the inspection area. Through the gimbal camera, the data and status of instruments and meters are detected, and equipment anomalies (status) are identified. Ultraviolet lenses detect partial discharges in the DC field, AC field, and converter transformer areas. Through the robot's equipped remote intelligent inspection system, fully autonomous operation of the robot and real-time viewing of inspections can be achieved in the control room, fully realizing fully autonomous and intelligent inspection of on-site equipment.
