On September 26, 2024, Shanghai RockBot Technology Co., Ltd. assisted the Shandong Energy Development Co., Ltd. of the State Power Investment Group Corporation in the first deployment and operation of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) intelligent inspection system at the Houzhen National Power Investment photovoltaic power station.

The system uses a long-endurance hexacopter hydrogen UAV with excellent endurance, reaching 120 minutes with a payload and 180 minutes without. The UAV is equipped with high-precision visible light and infrared dual-optical lenses, and can autonomously complete the inspection of photovoltaic panel faults and defects according to the planned route, transmitting data to the inspection and control platform for real-time analysis and generating a repair report with one click.

The photovoltaic power station UAV inspection system is jointly constructed by a hydrogen-powered inspection UAV, a high-precision dual-optical payload, a repair APP, and a control platform. Technicians can use the control platform to control the UAV takeoff with one click, and use the self-developed route planning software to complete the inspection task without the need for manual operation. After the UAV flight, the information is transmitted to the control platform, facilitating the monitoring of various data by operators. In addition, the repair navigation APP works with the control platform to provide convenience for on-site repair personnel.
The hydrogen UAV intelligent inspection system will significantly improve the inspection efficiency of photovoltaic power stations, providing accurate data support for station operation and maintenance. In the future, this system is expected to play an important role in the fields of energy and power, transportation and logistics, and emergency rescue, contributing to the vigorous development of the low-altitude economy.
